Causes of Primary Dysmenorrhoea February 18th, 2009 Primary Dysmenorrhoea, that is, pain during menses, is seen in many adolescent girls. The two basic causes of primary dysmenorrhoea are dysrythmic uterine contractions and uterine hypoxia (that is deficiency of blood and consequently of oxygen in the uterus).
